Colossians 3:16

The Great Hymns of the Church,
Opened Up Completely

One hymn. One day. One encounter with the living God — through history, music, and the Word.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs…"

Five ways to encounter the hymns

Hymnxhortation is not a single product. It is a complete sacred music ecosystem — each platform feeding every other, all rooted in the great hymns of the Christian faith.

"The Church has not lost the hymns because they stopped being true. It has lost them because we stopped telling their stories. When you know the story behind the song, the song never sounds the same again."
— Olaniyi Oluwatobi Noah, Founder

A daily hymn devotional
for your ears

Each episode opens with the hymn playing softly, then walks through seven movements: the hymn text, History of the Hymn, History of the Tune, Significant Events in history, Exhortation, Reflection, and Prayer. 14–18 minutes. Every morning.

The Hymns Performed as They Were Meant to Be Heard

A monthly concert experience — live choir, personal testimony, historical narration, and pastoral exhortation before every hymn is performed. Sacred music that teaches as it worships.

Where We're Performing

What to Expect

Every Hymnxhortation Live Concert follows the same deliberate structure — sacred, narrative, participatory.

The Bill Gaither Standard

The Hymnxhortation Live Concert Series is built toward a single long-term ambition: to do for the great hymns of the universal Church what Bill Gaither's Homecoming Series did for Southern Gospel music — create a premium live experience that is simultaneously a worship event, a history lesson, and a cultural moment.

Beginning in Nigeria, reaching across to the African diaspora in America and the UK, and growing into a series that fills concert halls and cathedrals — this is the long arc of Hymnxhortation Live.

Born from a conviction that the great hymns still have everything to say

Hymnxhortation was founded on a single pastoral belief: that the Church has largely lost access to its own greatest treasure — the hymns — not because they stopped being true, but because we stopped telling their stories.

When you know that Isaac Watts wrote "O God, Our Help in Ages Past" during a national constitutional crisis, the hymn never sounds the same again. When you know that William Croft composed the tune ST. ANNE as organist at the Chapel Royal, those opening notes carry the weight of three centuries. History restores meaning. Meaning restores power. That is what Hymnxhortation does.

The Scripture at the heart of everything

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

Colossians 3:16 · King James Version

This is not a verse about entertainment. It is a command: let the word dwell richly, through the psalms and hymns and spiritual songs the Church has always carried. Hymnxhortation is the obedience of that command, applied every day, one hymn at a time.

"Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."

Ephesians 5:19 · King James Version

The word "hymnxhortation" carries its meaning in its structure: hymn + exhortation. Every hymn is also an exhortation — a call to believe more deeply, to repent more honestly, to worship more wholeheartedly. Hymnxhortation exists to make that call heard again.
